The meaning of this stones name relates to its make up, as it is a magnesium carbonate stone, and although it is often white, it may also come in other colors. The more easily obtained color of the stone is white... although it may also be gray, pink, brown or yellow, and this depends on what other minerals may be mixed in. If a stone contains more iron in it, this may mean that the color could be yellow or brown, and the Manganoan types may be colored pink.
