LAPIZ LAZULI is sourced from one of the oldest mines in the world, near 4000 B.C., which is still in use today, in Egypt. In ancient times Lapis Lazuli was most highly regarded because of its beautiful ultramarine color and the valuable dye derived from it. Its name comes from the Latin lapis, "stone," and the Persian lazhuward, "blue." It is a universal symbol of wisdom and truth.

TURQUOISE was discovered and mind in Persia. When Venetian merchants travelled to Turkey in the 16th century, they were captivated by the wonderful blue hue of a rare gem traded in the local markets. Hens, the gem became known to the rest of the world as Turk's and then “turquoise.” Nowadays, turquoise is sourced from mines in Southwestern United States, Iran, the Middle East, China, and Australia.
